2022 Autumn Fashion Trends I Can’t Wait For
It’s quickly approaching my favourite time fo the year. Autumn! When the nights are drawing in and you can just chill with a hot chocolate and all your candles burning. Can you tell how excited I am? Autumn and Christmas a peak seasons for me. Have I already started stocking up on candles? Maybe. Autumn is also my favourite time of the year in terms of clothing. I get so excited to add to my Autumn/Winter wardrobe. You can almost guarantee that I’ll be picking up another jacket. I thought it would be a good time to write about my Autumn fashion essentials and what I will be picking up for the season ahead.
Thigh High Boots
My number #1 ultimate Autumn/Winter essential is a pair of thigh high boots. I think this is maybe because last year, I managed to get my dream pair of Stuart Weitzman boots from Bicester Village with something silly like 70% off them! These are an ultimate staple item for Autumn/Winter and will always be on trend. They can be paired with a cute winter dress or over some skinny jeans. I’ve also got to mention that I do love a good biker boot too!

Knitted Dresses
As aforementioned you can’t go wrong with a good knit. Whether that’s an oversized jumper or a dress! I’ve already seen some amazing knitted dresses on the high street that I’m desperate to pick up. Although it’s winter, I’m sensing there will be a lot of tank tops still about and I’ve seen tank knitted dresses too. It’ll be a great item to style though and wear with maybe a leather jacket and biker boots for more of an edgy look.

Gossip Girl Vibes
Autumn is a great time to also bring out the preppy style as inspired by Gossip Girl. Get the boucle dresses, two piece sets and headbands out. I for one will be channelling Blair Waldorf this Autumn and Winter. Last year, I was in NYC in November and it was a great chance to style some Gossip Girl style outfits and sit on the Met Steps. If you know, you know. Already, I’ve seen some amazing two piece sets for autumn which totally bring the preppy gal vibe. Co-ords also make excellent additions when creating a capsule wardrobe.

Pink, Pink, Pink
I’m over the moon that Pink is a signature colour this year which is running into the new season. I’m obsessed with Pink and find it a pretty flattering colour on myself which is always a winner. In fact, I’m currently looking for an outfit for an upcoming wedding and I’ve practically just ordered 5 pink dresses to try. Although, it’s not your traditional Autumnal hues, it’s certainly a colour which is going to be still seen a lot this A/W and I’m pretty pleased about it.
Babydoll Dresses
The babydoll dress is back! The style has certainly been back all year with floral babydoll’s seen throughout Spring/Summer. I’m a huge fan of this style as it’s usually a dress which suits me. This silhouette was seen on the runways of designers such as Molly Goddard and Simone Rocha so it’s clear that it’s here to stay. To be honest, I can’t wait to dig out some opaque tights and wear a babydoll dress with some chunky boots.
Which Autumn/Winter trend are you looking forward to sporting this year?
XOXO
