It’s that time of year again where we are thinking about Father’s Day. With just over a week to go, there’s not long left to get your gifts purchased. I always love doing a little gift guide for these sort of occasions. This one is filled with a fair few tasty treats as well as something for football fans and tech lovers. I’m hoping I’ve got something for everyone and every budget.
Starting off with chocolate because who doesn’t love chocolate? Especially Cadburys! There is a whole range of Cadbury Hampers on Cadbury Gifts Direct filled with everyone’s favourites including a classic Dairy Milk bar personalised with No1 Dad and a Father’s Day edition of the Toblerone. I can already tell that these goodies are going to go down a treat with my Dad as a bar of Cadbury’s never lasts long if he’s about! Cadburys Gifts Direct is also giving ten lucky winners a chance to win their very own personalised Dairy Milk bar. You can find out more information here but do hurry as entries close tomorrow night!
For the Dad who is a little bit more tech savvy. A Dash Cam is just one of those gifts that a Dad would love. Nextbase is UK’s leading dash cam manufacture and they are actually really affordable with prices starting at £49. The range of cameras they have though is pretty amazing with some having Alexa and Emergency SOS built-in all whilst filming in HD. The Emergency SOS is a great tool if god forbid, you end up in an accident. The technology can notify emergency services of your location in the event of an incident. That is some next level revolutionary technology!
Whilst chocolate is my Dad’s number 1 when it comes to food; Beer and Cheese are up there. Virginia Haywood is a hamper company which put together some delicious items and for Father’s Day, they have the Beer Lovers Box which features some tasty treats. The box comes with a duo of Green & Pleasant Ale along with a Barber’s Mature Cheddar Cheese with biscuits and chutney.
When it comes to picking out a greetings card, I’m so fussy. I always like to try and make an effort and get one that’s really personal. There are some great designs out there and I tend to have a little look online now. The one I’ve picked for Father’s Day this year is from a designer called Love Layla and it’s perfect! The amount of times my Dad has told me that if I was kidnapped they would bring me back within ten minutes is unreal. You don’t really come across cards like this on the high street but one of my favourite things about Love Layla Designs is that she’s a Yorkshire based designer.
My Dad is a HUGE football fan so when Exclusive Memorabilia approached me about working together on a piece for Father’s Day I jumped at the chance. They have a huge selection of memorabilia from different kinds of sports, films and TV. My Dad does love his football so this signed photograph of England player Sir Geoff Hurst makes an extra special gift. The photo is actually Hurst scoring the final goal in his hat-trick when England beat West Germany 4-2 in 1966 to win the World Cup final. On the back are the details of where the signing took place and it also comes with a certificate of authentication.
There are also loads of other pieces of memorabilia on the website from Muhammed Ali’s Boxing Glove which I’m not going to lie, costs a pretty penny but I’m sure it’ll be worth a fortune in years to come. My Dad is also a big cycling fan and you can pick up some signed yellow jerseys from the Tour De France which he would also love. All the memorabilia can be placed in a gift box at an extra cost. The final delivery date for Father’s Day to make an order is Thursday, so don’t waste any time before having a little look on their website.
As I said before, who doesn’t love a bit of chocolate? I’ve also got some goodies to show from Green & Blacks who also have quite a large selection of Father’s Day Gifts. To be honest, I’ve not really tried much from this brand before but you know, for research purposes, I’ve had a couple of bars. I picked up the Green & Blacks Dark Chocolate box but sorry dad, I may have eaten most of the box. I’m a big fan of dark chocolate and these are utterly delicious; especially the burnt toffee one!
Following the theme of food, I’ve got a few more tasty treats with Moonpig. I’m sure you’ve all heard of Moonpig which you will relate to the personalised greetings cards but they also have a large selection of Father’s Day Gifts. It’s kinda great as you can get everything in one place including a few more tasty treats in the form of shortbread and fudge in their little hamper package. I do love that you can also pick up personalised Thorntons Chocolates and selections of Craft Beer from Beerhawk all on Moonpig!
Finally, I have one more item which would be great for a last minute present. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered from Bubblegum Balloons for a Birthday but they also have a selection of Father’s Day Balloons too. They can be delivered next day and they are a great little addition to the celebration of Father’s Day. I particularly love the globe one which is filled with confetti!
