Who am I to turn down an invite to a party involving; Cocktails and Clothes. After missing out on the La Redoute Christmas party last year, there was no way I was going to pass on their Summer Party. On the day, all I knew was that the party was in Leeds and we needed to dress up. (See my outfit here). After getting picked up from the train station, it was all a mystery. We nearly ended up at a dodgy looking social club on a motorway but thankfully the minibus pulled up at the destination; New Craven Hall. A beautiful Urban Luxe Venue which recently opened in June. The perfect setting with fairy lights and brick walls.
With a very warm welcome of an Aperol Spritz, it was time to explore the current La Redoute Collection including their dreamy homeware products. I’ve spoken about this on many occasions but I really do love the Leeds Blogger’s community and this party was just lovely to spend time with a great group of gals. We were given the opportunity to pick out an outfit to try out. David Lindsay, a local photographer was on hand for mini photo shoots. Claire and I, both chose this gorgeous Mademoiselle R maxi dress. We did get a fair few comments about looking like bridesmaids but paired with a floral crown – we were rocking that look!
After nibbles and more cocktails we were told to go outside where we were met with a big surprise. An ice cream van, all for us! Excitement levels hit an all time high. We all looked pretty pleased with ourselves as we all got ourselves 99 ice creams! The cocktails continued to flow and after awards for the best dressed, best use of social media, photo shoot superstars and more it was time to hit the road and head home.
La Redoute sure know how to put on a party and I had an amazing time. A massive thank you to La Redoute for inviting me. Also, a big shout out to David Lindsay who took some of these fab photo’s!
