Fashion: Boohoo X #ThisGirlCan Photoshoot

This post has been sat in my drafts for over a month waiting to be published. I just discovered it this morning and thought It was about time I shared my experience of when I went to Manchester for a blogger’s photoshoot with Boohoo. Back in June, I was invited by Boohoo for a blogger’s photoshoot in collaboration with #ThisGirlCan. If you are unfamiliar with the #ThisGirlCan, the campaign is to empower women of all shapes and sizes to get active and feel like a fox doing it!
I excitedly popped along on the train at the crack of dawn to Manchester before meeting up with some of the other bloggers. First on the agenda was a delicious breakfast which was all cooked by the in-house Boohoo Chef. I was then whisked away to get my hair and make-up done by the loveliest MUA. As a beauty lover, I was in total heaven. I was quickly talked into buying loads of new products that she used on me. The makeup look we went for was a golden eye but nothing too over the top. My hair was done in a long fishtail braid which I loved.

After checking out Boohoo’s new fitness range, I was given my outfit which was had been handpicked by one of their stylists then myself and Bee from Queen Beady was the first couple to grace the cameras for our shoot. We were given all sorts of props and I embarrassed myself completely with my failed hula-hooping attempts. It was so much fun to do and some of the photos are below and some are my own.

In the afternoon, we had a Q&A session with Boohoo’s resident Nutritionist, Alexis. The Q&A was really helpful and she gave us tips on little changes you can make to your diet. Following the talk, we had a Ravercise Class. I had not heard about before but turned out to be the best fun. Think a regular high energy cardio fitness class mashed up with glow sticks, neon lights and 90’s underground music. You can see more images from the day here, including a video of the ravercise class and my disastrous hula-hooping.

A big thank you to Boohoo for inviting me along, I had such a wonderful time seeing some of my blogger favourites and getting motivated to get fitter!

XOXO
