Happy New Year! This is my first post of 2015. I hope that 2015 is already treating you all very well. I’m still in Christmas mode as I’m just sat eating chocolates and watching movies – oops! Today’s post is about a few Yves Rocher products which I’ve kindly been gifted. I’d briefly heard of the brand but after looking on their website, they have a huge range of products available from fragrance to bath and skincare! I’m going to do a few mini-reviews for the Flowerparty by Night Yves Rocher, the Rouge Créme Hydrant Moisturizing Cream Lipstick and the Waterproof Lash Plumping Mascara.
This lovely little perfume has a cute floral design which reminds me of Marc Jacobs Daisy. The bottle’s quite small and compact considering its 50ml. The scent is quite fruity with a spicy twist. The botanically based ingredients are bitter almond essential oil, star anise and bourbon vanilla absolute extracts. It’s a lovely scent which I really like despite it not being something I would usually go for. The fragrance really lasts well and still smells strongly after a few hours. This perfume is currently half price on the Yves Rocher website and at £19 for 50ml it’s a total bargain!
This mascara also is half price on the Yves Rocher website making it £9.25 down from £18.50. I’m wouldn’t personally purchase this product at full price as I didn’t get on well with it. The formula seemed pretty drying and when applying it did add volume but it did seem very dry. It isn’t the worst mascara out there but I’m not sure if it’s worth the price point.
This lipstick in Rose Alba is one of those shades that’s your lip colour but better. Although this does have quite a fair bit of shimmer which I normally wouldn’t go for you can’t see it once applied. This is a shade I would wear on a daily basis and it’s moisturising on the lips.
Has anyone used Yves Rocher before? What did you think?
