Christmas Party Ready with Very.co.uk
The Christmas season is upon us! We are really in the thick of dressing up for Christmas parties, meals out with loved ones and generally just enjoying the festive cheer. I’ve teamed up with Very.co.uk to select some gorgeous festive outfits for the Christmas party season. When it comes to festive dressing, I always like to choose pieces that feel classic but still have that little bit of Christmas sparkle, and Very.co.uk absolutely delivered. This year, I’ve focused on a small edit of party outfits that are easy to style, flattering, and versatile enough to wear for more than one occasion. Not forgetting accessories that I’m obsessed with, and a classic faux fur jacket, which should be a staple for everyone at Christmas.
All three looks in this blog post were worn on my recent festive trip to Dublin, Ireland, and it felt so good to dress up. It’s also that added ritual of getting ready in the hotel, which was rather fun. I loved getting all my beauty bits out and curling my hair before styling these outfits. Nothing beats a little bit of sparkle and wrapping up in a faux fur jacket. I obviously had to pick out the sparkliest little black dress I could find. This New Look number from Very.co.uk is the perfect black midi dress for the festive season. It’s such a flattering shape and looks very glam. I’ve paired it with a faux fur jacket from the Very Collection, which has been my staple jacket all December. It is such a versatile piece which can be dressed up or down. Not to mention it’s super cosy!
The accessories can’t be forgotten, as I am so obsessed with bows at the moment. Both from River Island at Very.co.uk, I picked up the cutest little satin bag with diamante bows and some black heels also with sparkly bows. I can’t wait to get so much wear out of both of these items across the festive season. They are adorable!
My second look is another black midi dress from New Look at Very.co.uk. I’ve always been partial to polka dots, and this satin number can be worn all year round. The high neck halter neckline is unlike anything I own, and I low-key love it! It’s the perfect piece that feels both elegant and fun. Ideal for everything from a Christmas lunch with friends to a night out in the city. Plus, it was one of the outfits I wore on my recent festive trip to Dublin, as you can see me on the Seán O’Casey Bridge en route to an evening exploring. This dress also looked great with the bow bag and shoes, too!
The third and final outfit is a little bit more out there. It’s probably not as versatile as the others, as it’s quite unlikely you’ll see me in this at any other time than Christmas. It’s still, nonetheless, the most iconic dress! From the Very Collection, this fringed silver dress is PERFECT for a Christmas party. I’m obsessed with the fringing; it gives it an extra dimension and makes it really fun. Dare I say, it would also be a great dress to wear on Christmas Day if you are feeling a little bit extra or even a New Year’s Eve party to see in 2026!
