Gin Masterclass at The Botanist, York

Last month, Ellie and I headed to York for a girlie day followed by a Gin Masterclass at The Botanist, York. I absolutely love The Botanist but I’ve not been to the York one, which opened about a year ago! So when I got invited along to their Blogger’s Gin Masterclass, I was there! I wouldn’t say I’m the biggest gin drinker in the world. I did go to the Gin Festival which I rather enjoyed but it’s still not my drink of choice until now. The masterclass was held in the most Instagrammable greenhouse styled room upstairs. We had…

My Top Five Places to visit in York

I’m always banging on about my day trips to York and how it’s my favourite city. But seriously, If you’ve never visited York, you must! I teamed up with Tesco Direct who offer a range of gift experiences and activities from spa days, afternoon tea & gourmet experiences, hotel stays and much more. As it was recently Mother’s Day and also my Mum’s Birthday last week, it was perfect timing to treat her to an Afternoon Tea for two at Patisserie Valerie. Patisserie Valerie is one of my favourite…

The Gin Festival, York

Last weekend, I headed over to York with my friend Jorden to go to The Gin Festival at the Barbican. I wouldn’t call either of us Gin enthusiasts, I’ll have a G&T every now and then but that’s it. I was really interested to see what The Gin Festival was all about, especially as I’d seen a lot of hyper across social media from previous events We arrived at the venue around 45 minutes after the doors opened. It was a sold out event so we managed to beat the crowds. On arrivals, we were handed a Gin Guide and…

My Original City Adventure in York: Part Two!

I’m back with Part Two of My Original City Adventure in York. You can catch up on Part One here if you haven’t already seen it. Day Two in York kicked off with a full English breakfast in the Monkbar Hotel. After checking out of the hotel and leaving our luggage we headed over to the York Art Gallery. Our plan for the day was to fulfil all ten stops of the York Selfie Trail which had been put together by Visit York. The York Art Gallery was actually a stop on the trail and I hate to admit that…
