How I Got Tickets to Visit The White House, Washington DC

One of my first stops whilst on my American Road Trip last October was Washington DC. Obviously DC is the US Capital City steeped in so much cultural and political history. To tell you the truth, DC was never on my list of places to visit. However, I quickly fell in love with the city. We spent two nights in the city (you can read about everything we got up to here) but one of the most memorable parts of the trip was visiting The White House and actually making it inside the grounds! One of our first port of…

Thanksgiving & Black Friday in San Francisco #16

I’ve got another USA Travel Diary post for you already! After spending 4 days in San Francisco, on day Thirty-Five I flew out to Vancouver, Canada. I was so unbelievably excited about visiting Canada for the first time but unfortunately was met with horrendous weather! I’m not actually going to do my next instalment about my time in Vancouver as I covered most of it in my blog post back in January here. I think it would most likely be very repetitive of that post so give it read if you haven’t already! Fast forward a couple of days and…

Creating a Colorland Travel Photo Book + Discount

You can only imagine how many photos I took whilst in the USA and Canada for nine weeks. It was such an incredible once in a lifetime trip where I saw some breathtaking sights such as The Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Park. Obviously, I captured them all on my camera and have been documenting it all in my travel diary posts (which are still ongoing). Overall, I took over 20,000 photos, how insane is that?! When Colorland got in touch with me to work together, I knew this would be great opportunity to do something with some of my…

My Top 10 Meals from 9 weeks in the USA

One of the main things that I miss from my time in the USA was all the insanely amazing food that I had over there. I did over indulge myself for the whole 63 days I was over there. I’ve been asked so many times what and where my favourite thing was to eat so I thought I’d narrow it down to my Top 10. I was actually a very bad blogger and didn’t photograph most of my meals. I’m now regretting this as a bumper Food Diary would’ve been a pretty food idea. Unfortunately, you’ll have to do with…

Viva Las Vegas, Route 66 & The Hoover Dam #9

I think we are now on Day 20 of my trip in America. After an amazing couple of days in Monument Valley & the Grand Canyon, we set off on our way through the desert towards Las Vegas. En route to Vegas Baby (I can’t even begin to tell you how many times “Vegas Baby” was screeched throughout the trek) we had some really exciting stops along the way. The first stop was a town called Seligman and this was actually the birthplace of Route 66. This town was pretty incredible with so much to see and so many places…

New Orleans & The Swamps of Louisiana #5

One of the main reasons for me booking the Southern BLT trip with Trek America was that it went to New Orleans. It’s been my dream for many years to visit NOLA and see all the French Quarter, listen to Jazz Music and party down Bourbon Street. After leaving Memphis pretty early, we headed through Mississippi down South. We even stopped on the way to get ourselves some of that famous Mississippi Mud Pie and it didn’t disappoint. During our visit to New Orleans, we stayed at The Troubador Hotel which is one of the fanciest hotels we had during…
