How I Got Tickets to Visit The White House, Washington DC

One of my first stops whilst on my American Road Trip last October was Washington DC. Obviously DC is the US Capital City steeped in so much cultural and political history. To tell you the truth, DC was never on my list of places to visit. However, I quickly fell in love with the city. We spent two nights in the city (you can read about everything we got up to here) but one of the most memorable parts of the trip was visiting The White House and actually making it inside the grounds! One of our first port of…

Thanksgiving & Black Friday in San Francisco #16

I’ve got another USA Travel Diary post for you already! After spending 4 days in San Francisco, on day Thirty-Five I flew out to Vancouver, Canada. I was so unbelievably excited about visiting Canada for the first time but unfortunately was met with horrendous weather! I’m not actually going to do my next instalment about my time in Vancouver as I covered most of it in my blog post back in January here. I think it would most likely be very repetitive of that post so give it read if you haven’t already! Fast forward a couple of days and…

San Francisco on a Sightseeing Bus with AttractionTix #15

I’m back with #15 of my USA Travel Diary Installment. I’m proper slacking with these post, aren’t I? We’re on to Day 33 in the USA and I’m still in San Francisco. There really is so much to see and do in San Francisco but it’s also a city that’s just lovely to chill out and wander about at your own pace. Whilst I was in San Francisco, I teamed up with AttractionTix who provided me with Sightseeing Bus Tickets so I could visit all the top sights in one day. The sightseeing bus started from near to Fisherman’s Wharf…

Escorted Travel Tours: The Pros & Cons!

Whilst out in America for 9 weeks, I spent the first three weeks on an organised escorted tour across the country from NYC to LA. The next six weeks were spent doing my own things, I spent some time travelling with people that I had met, did a few weeks planned by myself and the finally met my friend in NYC. I got to experience both sides of travelling within an escorted group, riding solo’ and planning everything myself.  When it comes to travelling, everyone is different but it’s got me thinking about my preferred way of travelling. Escorted Travel…

Creating a Colorland Travel Photo Book + Discount

You can only imagine how many photos I took whilst in the USA and Canada for nine weeks. It was such an incredible once in a lifetime trip where I saw some breathtaking sights such as The Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Park. Obviously, I captured them all on my camera and have been documenting it all in my travel diary posts (which are still ongoing). Overall, I took over 20,000 photos, how insane is that?! When Colorland got in touch with me to work together, I knew this would be great opportunity to do something with some of my…

Museum of Ice Cream, Alcatraz & Walt Disney Museum #14

After spending a week in Los Angeles, it was time to fly up to San Francisco. The flight is only about an hour long and you can usually get a good deal where it only costs around $30. It was actually pretty amazing to fly across the Californian coastline, the views were pretty amazing. For the first couple of days in San Francisco, I was staying in the Hotel Zeppelin in the Downtown Theatre District not too far from Union Square. The hotel was incredible and had the most amazing design. After an early start, I actually ended up spending most…
