Exploring Aberdeenshire on the North East 250 Route

Last week, I spent a couple of days in Aberdeenshire. To tell you the truth, I’d never really given it much thought to visiting Aberdeenshire as I wasn’t even really sure what was there. Turns out Aberdeenshire has the most beautiful scenic coastlines, over 260 castles including Her Majesty’s royal estate of Balmoral and potentially the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. And that’s coming from someone who lives at the seaside! I got to experience a lot in just under three days whilst touring the North East 250 circular route with Visit Aberdeenshire. So what can you see…

Food Diary in Edinburgh & Glasgow

To say I’m a very fussy eater is an understatement but it seems whenever I go on trips, my main priority is food. When visiting Edinburgh and Glasgow, I ate out a lot. I thought I’d put together a little food diary type of post to give you an overview of all the places. The first day in Edinburgh was filled with a few errors in terms of food. For our lunch, we ended up in a chain pub. There’s plenty of cute charming pubs in Edinburgh with lots of character and no doubt yummy grub. This wasn’t one of…

My First Visit to Glasgow, Scotland

Back in November, I went away to Scotland for a week to see Charlotte who’s at University in Glasgow. The first couple of days was spent in Edinburgh seeing all the sights and drinking all the cocktails. We then headed to Glasgow on the train which was about 45 minutes long. I’ve never been to Glasgow before so I was really excited to see what it was like. Charlee’s been there for just over a year so she was my tour guide. The first morning I was left to my own devices though and I opted for a wander around…

Brunch at Badger & Co, Edinburgh

One thing is for sure about my recent trip to Scotland was that I didn’t stop eating. I was truly in food heaven. On our second day in Edinburgh, Charlotte and I visited a place called Badger & Co for Brunch which is located in the prime Shopping District between George Street and Princess Street on Castle Street. After reading up online that this is the former home of Kenneth Grahame, the author of Wind in the Willows. I knew I had to go. The breakfast menu offered a variety of items from the blogger’s favourite Avocado on Toast to The…

Edinburgh in 32 Hours

Many of you may know that I travelled up to Scotland to spend a couple of days with Charlotte. The adventure started in Edinburgh, which is one of my favourite places and actually a place that Charlotte had never been! We Stayed at the Old Town Chambers 5* Serviced Apartments which you can read about here. All in all, we had around 32 hours in the city to explore all the old cobbled streets and soak in all the history. After checking-in to Old Town Chambers which was conveniently located just off The Royal Mile, we went for a wander.…

A Stylish Stay at Old Town Chambers, Edinburgh

Last week, I went on a little Scottish adventure, I’m so excited to share my trip with you guys. The first stop was Edinburgh; one of my favourite places in the UK with adorable little streets and so much history. The journey is just over 2 hours on the train from York which makes me question why I don’t visit more often. Charlotte and I were spending two days in Edinburgh before heading up to Glasgow where she is currently studying at University. The first evening, we stayed at Old Town Chambers in the most beautiful  apartment overlooking the city.…
