A Day Trip To Oxford with Marco Polo Guides

You might have caught my post all about the UK destinations I’d love to visit. Now I can say, I’ve ticked one off! Last month, whilst I was in London for the week, I caught the train up to Oxford. The train cost £20 for a return (with a railcard) from Marylebone and took less than an hour. Oxford is a city I’ve wanted to visit for the longest time, I have no idea why I haven’t been before – Especially as I lived in Birmingham for three years! How to spend a long weekend in London

I’ve been to London so many times, but it’s usually popping down on the train for a day of shopping or staying overnight to go to a specific event. I wish I lived closer as there is so much to see and do in London, you could easily make a long weekend of it. The adventure started in Edinburgh, which is one of my favourite places and actually a place that Charlotte had never been! We Stayed at the Old Town Chambers 5* Serviced Apartments which you can read about here. All in all, we had around 32 hours in the city to explore all the old cobbled streets and soak in all the history. After checking-in to Old Town Chambers which was conveniently located just off The Royal Mile, we went for a wander.…

8 Places to Visit in London if You’re a Harry Potter fan

On my recent visit to London last month, I ticked off another location which was featured in the Harry Potter movies. This got me thinking, there are so many filming spots in the UK and especially in London that other Harry Potter fans can visit. Many of them can be incorporated into a sightseeing trip in London. I’m going to take a look at Seven locations which were used in the films and can be visited in London. King’s Cross Station They’ve really pimped out this location which is featured in all of the movies. King’s Cross is where Harry…
