Three Places You MUST visit for Food in Berlin

Berlin seems such a long time ago now, it’s been nearly five months! 2018 is just flying by – it will be soon Christmas. I did previously say that I’d be doing a Berlin Food Diary but in the end, I’ve chosen three places I ate at in Berlin which I absolutely loved. They aren’t the most typical German establishments but all three are all must visits and incredibly delicious! The Bird First up is a restaurant which we visited on our first night in the city. I’d heard about The Bird from Haydy who had recommended it to me and…

Travel Diary: 72 hours in Berlin – Part Two

Welcome back to Part Two of my Berlin Travel Diary – You can read Part One here if you haven’t already. Day Two in the city started with a quick Starbucks as we headed back to the Brandenburg Gate for some more photos. We then caught the U-Bahn to Checkpoint Charlie. Although it’s not the original border house (you can view that in the museum), the original site has a replica. Checkpoint Charlie was the crossing point between East and West Berlin and just around the corner is an original piece of the Berlin Wall. It’s pretty surreal to see…

Travel Diary: 72 hours in Berlin – Part One

My latest adventure was to the German Capital of Berlin. It was my first time visiting Berlin and me and my Mum decided to spontaneously book a last minute trip. We had four nights in the city but that worked out as three whole days to explore. During that time, we thankfully escaped the Beast from the East battering the UK. Berlin, however, was even colder but with glorious sunshine and no snow. Some days the temperatures dropped to -13 degrees. It sure was chilly so we had to properly wrap up with 101 layers. I’ve also decided to split this…

Motel One Alexanderplatz, Berlin

Berlin seems like such a long time ago, it’s actually only been two weeks. I escaped the Beast from the East for even colder climes but thankfully a lot less snow but it seems I can’t escape The Beast 2.0! I’m going to be doing quite a few blog posts on Berlin as we managed to squeeze so much into the couple of days we were in the German Capital. In total, we spent four nights but had three full days to explore the city. One of the hotels in which we stayed in was the Motel One Alexanderplatz-Berlin. The hotel actually…

My Berlin Bucketlist

Today, I’m heading off on my second adventure of 2018. I’m actually flying to Berlin, Germany. That is if this Beast from the East doesn’t close down the airports. Pray for me guys. I’ve never been to Berlin before and even though it’s going to be horrendously cold, (-13, eep!) I can’t wait to explore the city with my Mum. We only booked the trip last week but I’ve been doing a little bit of research of places I’d like to visit. There’s obviously a lot of history within the city which I want to learn a lot more about.…

Lindner City Plaza Hotel, Cologne

My trip to Cologne seems like a million moons ago now. It was my first ever trip to Germany and it really did surpass my expectations. Hayley and I had flown out for the Essence Beauty Blogger’s Secret’s Party at the Art’otel. We decided to stay an extra night and explore Cologne further. The Lindner City Plaza Hotel is a short walk from the city centre and no more than €5 in a taxi. We were booked into a First Class King Size room with breakfast and access to the first class suite. On arrival, the hotel looked quite average from…
