Five European Cities I’d love to Explore

At the moment, I’m currently planning my next trip which I’ll be heading off to Holland at the end of May. I’ve probably mentioned it before but the annual travel blogging conference, Traverse is taking place in Rotterdam this year. I decided to do a little bit of travelling before and after the conference. I’ll be visiting Amsterdam, Rotterdam before heading down to visit my friend in Zurich. As always, I get a little carried away with myself when it comes to travel plans and I’ve also been thinking about ticking off some other European cities before coming home. These…

Travel Diary: 72 hours in Berlin – Part Two

Welcome back to Part Two of my Berlin Travel Diary – You can read Part One here if you haven’t already. Day Two in the city started with a quick Starbucks as we headed back to the Brandenburg Gate for some more photos. We then caught the U-Bahn to Checkpoint Charlie. Although it’s not the original border house (you can view that in the museum), the original site has a replica. Checkpoint Charlie was the crossing point between East and West Berlin and just around the corner is an original piece of the Berlin Wall. It’s pretty surreal to see…

Travel Diary: 72 hours in Berlin – Part One

My latest adventure was to the German Capital of Berlin. It was my first time visiting Berlin and me and my Mum decided to spontaneously book a last minute trip. We had four nights in the city but that worked out as three whole days to explore. During that time, we thankfully escaped the Beast from the East battering the UK. Berlin, however, was even colder but with glorious sunshine and no snow. Some days the temperatures dropped to -13 degrees. It sure was chilly so we had to properly wrap up with 101 layers. I’ve also decided to split this…

3 Days in Milan for £450? #CheapFlightsChallenge

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know how desperate I’ve been for years to visit Italy. Cheapflights.co.uk made my dreams come true last week and sent me off to Milan with my Mum on their #CheapFlightsChallenge. The challenge was to book a trip for two for three nights including flights and all expenses such as food & attraction entry for under £450. In hindsight, £225 each sounds like a good budget but on this challenge, I soon realised how quickly things added up… Let’s start from the beginning, I booked my flights via Cheapflights.co.uk’s search engine around…

Travel Diary: 72 Hours in Copenhagen

Last week, I spent a couple of days in Copenhagen with my Mum. You might have noticed me mention it a hundred times on social media and I’ve been obsessively posting lots on Instagram. Copenhagen is seriously an Instagrammers heaven. It was our first trip to Denmark and we spent around 3 days in total but we could’ve done with another day. There was so much to see and do! Grab a drink as this post is going to be rather long. I’ve decided to do a travel diary style post with lots of photos. I’ll be doing a separate delicious…
