Six Theme Parks to visit in Spain on a Thrill Seeking Holiday

I love a good Theme Park. One of my favourite places in the world is Orlando which is well known for all the amazing theme parks such as Walt Disney World, Busch Gardens and Universal Studios. Although you don’t have to fly across the Atlantic ocean to get your thrills. I’m looking at some of the best destinations in Spain which have some pretty damn good theme parks to make your holiday just that little bit exciting. PortAventura, Salou Starting off with arguably one of the best theme parks in Europe, PortAventura World. I was lucky enough to spend a few…

How to spend the day in Lucerne, Switzerland On a Budget

I can’t believe I’ve not written at all about my trip to Switzerland earlier this year. I was visiting a friend in Zurich but decided to take the train over to Lucerne for the day. The train cost 52 Swiss Francs which is about £40 for a 45-minute journey, quite expensive but Switzerland is a very expensive country. I had quite a few options of places to visit from Zurich on a day trip such as Bern or The Rhine Falls but decided Lucerne was the place to be. As I said Switzerland isn’t the cheapest of places but a…

Three Days in Amsterdam with Marco Polo Guides

Amsterdam was the first stop on my 10-day adventure in Holland and Switzerland. This was my second time in Amsterdam and it’s a city I absolutely love – I’m already planning another trip! I flew to Amsterdam from Leeds Bradford with Jet2 and it was such a quick flight! Before I knew it, I was landing at Schipol Airport and meeting my friend who I was visiting. My first night in the city was spent catching up with Yas and going for an insanely delicious steak at Het Badhuis. You can read more about it in My Amsterdam Food Diary.…

Five European Cities I’d love to Explore

At the moment, I’m currently planning my next trip which I’ll be heading off to Holland at the end of May. I’ve probably mentioned it before but the annual travel blogging conference, Traverse is taking place in Rotterdam this year. I decided to do a little bit of travelling before and after the conference. I’ll be visiting Amsterdam, Rotterdam before heading down to visit my friend in Zurich. As always, I get a little carried away with myself when it comes to travel plans and I’ve also been thinking about ticking off some other European cities before coming home. These…

Travel Diary: 72 hours in Berlin – Part Two

Welcome back to Part Two of my Berlin Travel Diary – You can read Part One here if you haven’t already. Day Two in the city started with a quick Starbucks as we headed back to the Brandenburg Gate for some more photos. We then caught the U-Bahn to Checkpoint Charlie. Although it’s not the original border house (you can view that in the museum), the original site has a replica. Checkpoint Charlie was the crossing point between East and West Berlin and just around the corner is an original piece of the Berlin Wall. It’s pretty surreal to see…

Travel Diary: 72 hours in Berlin – Part One

My latest adventure was to the German Capital of Berlin. It was my first time visiting Berlin and me and my Mum decided to spontaneously book a last minute trip. We had four nights in the city but that worked out as three whole days to explore. During that time, we thankfully escaped the Beast from the East battering the UK. Berlin, however, was even colder but with glorious sunshine and no snow. Some days the temperatures dropped to -13 degrees. It sure was chilly so we had to properly wrap up with 101 layers. I’ve also decided to split this…
