The ULTIMATE Guide to Visiting Amsterdam

I’ve just returned from my third trip to Amsterdam and it’s safe to say this Dutch Capital is one of my favourite cities to visit. With a very short flight from the UK, it’s never been easier to explore the beautiful canals, take in Amsterdam’s famous sights and enjoy all the pretty damn good food! Amsterdam is one of the hottest city break destinations in Europe right with tourism figures booming. It’s not all about the city centre though, there are so many different neighbourhoods worth exploring – which I did on my latest trip. Although I’m no means an…

My 2018 Travel Highlights

I honestly can’t believe 2018 is coming to a close. As always, I’ve put together a little highlights blogpost mainly focusing on where I’ve been on my travels. After my big USA trip in 2017, I was expecting to have quite a quiet year but I  managed to sneak in a few amazing trips. This year, I was also really lucky to explore a lot more of the UK and I hope to do that further in 2019. It’s so good to look back on your year and see how much you have achieved and done. However, I’m rather looking…

Three Days in Amsterdam with Marco Polo Guides

Amsterdam was the first stop on my 10-day adventure in Holland and Switzerland. This was my second time in Amsterdam and it’s a city I absolutely love – I’m already planning another trip! I flew to Amsterdam from Leeds Bradford with Jet2 and it was such a quick flight! Before I knew it, I was landing at Schipol Airport and meeting my friend who I was visiting. My first night in the city was spent catching up with Yas and going for an insanely delicious steak at Het Badhuis. You can read more about it in My Amsterdam Food Diary.…

My Amsterdam Food Diary

My latest adventure took me to Holland and Switzerland. I was actually attending Traverse in Rotterdam but I also decided to visit friends in Amsterdam and Zurich and tie it into one big trip. My first three days of the trip was spent in Amsterdam. I actually flew from Leeds Bradford and it cost only £25! One of the main highlights of my trip (as always), was the food! I’d been given so many amazing recommendations on Twitter, there’s still a lot of places I want to visit so another trip to Amsterdam might be on the cards! On my…

Five Reasons to Buy a City Pass

If you haven’t gathered by some of my previous travel posts, I love the planning aspect. I love sitting down and researching where I can go, what I can see and where I can eat. A good itinerary really helps me get the most out of my trip. I know a lot of people just like going with the flow but I’m not one of those people. I like to know what I’m doing and have options for attractions and restaurants so I’m not wasting a lot of time deciding what’s going on. One thing I always look out for…

Sleeping, Eating and Sightseeing in Amsterdam

Earlier this year, I visited Amsterdam for a couple of days with P&O Ferries. Amsterdam was a city I wasn’t too fussed about visiting but so many friends raved on about it. I actually fell in love with the city, there was so much to see and do. Everything was so beautiful, the only issue we had was that it rained 24/7 the whole time we were there. I suppose that gives us an excuse to go back, right? Here is a run down on my mini guide to Amsterdam. First thing’s first is you need to take a boat…
