Unique Wedding Gift Ideas with UncommonGoods

Whether it’s a Birthday, Anniversary or a Wedding, purchasing the perfect present can be a hard task. I recently came across a US-based website called UncommonGoods which has a selection of great gifts. As you can probably guess from the website’s name, it’s home to many unique items. They have a large selection of wedding gifts including personalised items which you can check out here for the happy couple or even Bridesmaid’s and Groomsmen. I love the personalised touch when it comes to wedding gifts. Getting the newly married couple something with their names on is a great idea. I love…

Gin Masterclass at The Botanist, York

Last month, Ellie and I headed to York for a girlie day followed by a Gin Masterclass at The Botanist, York. I absolutely love The Botanist but I’ve not been to the York one, which opened about a year ago! So when I got invited along to their Blogger’s Gin Masterclass, I was there! I wouldn’t say I’m the biggest gin drinker in the world. I did go to the Gin Festival which I rather enjoyed but it’s still not my drink of choice until now. The masterclass was held in the most Instagrammable greenhouse styled room upstairs. We had…

My Summer Holiday Reading List

I’ll hold my hands up and say that I’m not the biggest reader in the world but when I’m on holiday I end up reading four or five books in a week. Especially when I’m travelling long distance on planes, I like to have a book with me to keep my occupied. I thought I would share which ones are currently on my reading list and would be perfect to take away on…

Top Tips for Working in an office at home

I’m currently in a very fortunate position where I can work on my blog from home full-time. Whilst I do spend a few days a week out of office at meetings, shoots and working on different projects, I do have a home office. Working from home might sound like a bed of roses but I found it a hard adjustment to be proactive and not get too distracted. I’m pretty sure I could be crowned the procrastination queen but I’ve been working hard to make sure I get my sh*t together and get my butt in gear. This ship won’t…

How to survive a Music Festival in bad weather

This weekend, I headed down to the Peak District for Y Not Festival. In true typical British Summertime, the whole weekend was a complete washout. Unfortunately, the festival was cut short on Sunday and cancelled completely. Obviously, all the rain and mud was not an ideal situation but Charlee and I still had a fun weekend. It was certainly an interesting unforgettable experience. The Stereophonics still put on an amazing show on Saturday night and we even went to an exercise class with Mr Motivator! Amazing! I can’t say I was 100% prepared for the weekend. I knew it was…
