Guest Post: Home Security While Travelling

Before travelling away, don’t forget to protect your home from burglary. Empty homes are more likely to be burgled, so extra measures should be taken to reduce the risk of returning to an emptied home.   Here are some of the top dos and don’ts to protect your home while away:   Do try to make your property appear occupied. Burglars normally avoid occupied properties and as a result, they will think twice before breaking into your home if there is a possibility that it’s not empty. There are several ways to make your property appear occupied; one of the best and…

Stars in Spring with Boohoo.com

It has been a little while since my last outfit post hasn’t it? I’m not sure if it’s the warm weather or that I’m loving all the new Spring clothing but I’ve finally come out of hibernation. I’m doing outfit posts again! On Thursday, I spent the day in York and I thought it would be the perfect time to wear my new dress from Boohoo.com. York is my favourite place in the sunshine and Minster Gate provided a very lovely backdrop for these photos. I’m a little bit in love with these dress from Boohoo, the star print trend…

Five European Cities I’d love to Explore

At the moment, I’m currently planning my next trip which I’ll be heading off to Holland at the end of May. I’ve probably mentioned it before but the annual travel blogging conference, Traverse is taking place in Rotterdam this year. I decided to do a little bit of travelling before and after the conference. I’ll be visiting Amsterdam, Rotterdam before heading down to visit my friend in Zurich. Five Skincare Items I Couldn’t Live Without

There’s nothing better than finding skincare items that really work for you. I certainly wouldn’t call myself a skincare expert but I’ve got a few items I couldn’t live without. Ideally, I try and find products which are going to give me a subtle glow, fight anti-redness and keep me hydrated. These are just my top five products which I couldn’t live without. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream The Ultra Facial Cream by Kiehl’s has been a firm favourite in my skincare stash for a couple of years. This is probably the best facial moisturiser that I’ve tried throughout the years.…

My Spring Homeware Wishlist

Going into Spring, I’ve been having a serious de-clutter. eBay has become my best friend but that hasn’t stopped me looking at a few new homeware pieces. I’ve come across some really cute items over the past couple of weeks so I thought I’d do a wishlist. There are so many places on the high street that have really upped their Homeware game like Asda, Dunelm and Matalan. I seem to want everything every time I go in-store! When many items have a price point of under £10, you can’t feel too guilty about treating yourself. I don’t think I’ll be…

Travel Diary: 72 hours in Berlin – Part Two

Welcome back to Part Two of my Berlin Travel Diary – You can read Part One here if you haven’t already. Day Two in the city started with a quick Starbucks as we headed back to the Brandenburg Gate for some more photos. We then caught the U-Bahn to Checkpoint Charlie. Although it’s not the original border house (you can view that in the museum), the original site has a replica. Checkpoint Charlie was the crossing point between East and West Berlin and just around the corner is an original piece of the Berlin Wall. It’s pretty surreal to see…
