When it comes to fragrances, I’m actually quite a hoarder so it’s rare that I’ll go out and treat myself to a new perfume. However, over the last couple of weeks, I’ve picked THREE new scents from Notino.co.uk. I thought I’d do a little first impressions and show you what I’ve got. I know you can only wear one at a time, so three in one haul is a bit excessive but a girl’s got to have a choice, right?! Picking out perfumes is actually a tricky job and I do spent hours in department stores smelling them all and creating a list in my head of which ones I wouldn’t mind picking up. At the moment, my ultimate favourite scent is the Narciso Rodriguez For Her but it’s always good to add some others into the mix.
The first fragrance that I picked up is actually a re-purchase. I’ve had Gucci Bamboo for the last couple of years and it’s become a firm favourite of mine and I couldn’t resist picking up another 30ml bottle. This perfume is quite floral with notes of lillies, orange blossom and bergamot. As someone who was a very fruity person, always going for the same few Marc Jacobs scents, I feel like Gucci Bamboo was slightly a turning point in picking a more sophisticated and mature scent. I’d definitly recommend checking it out if you haven’t before.
Hugo Boss – Boss Orange
To tell the truth, I had no idea that Hugo Boss even made fragrances for women. My friend actually introduced me to Boss Orange by Hugo Boss when I asked her what she was wearing. Again it does have notes of Orange Blossom but this scent is very different to any that I’ve ever had before. I’d say it’s quite a strong scent, very long lasting and the base notes of Sandalwood and Vanilla really shines through. As i said, it’s something a little bit different to what I usually purchase so I’m quite excited to wear it all the time now!
My Burberry has been on my beauty wishlist for the longest time. When it was first released a couple of years ago, I was sent a little sample and I thought it was lovely. It’s hard to explain but My Burberry is exactly how you would imagine Burberry smelling as a brand. The inspiration behind it is London in full bloom with lot’s of floral and citrus tones. The bottle is also very classic with a tortoise shell lid and a bow – very Burberry. This is a very on brand scent. I think this will be a scent to wear on special occasions.
