Rewind a couple of years and you wouldn’t find me priming my face. Nowadays, using a good primer and setting spray can make all the difference with your make-up looking fresh, long lasting and on point. I’ve just re-purchased two of my must-have items from MAC on the Notino.co.uk website. If I’ve re-purchased something, you know it’s good. I have my holy grail items and these two are in the holy grail trinity.
Starting off with the primer. The MAC Prep+Prime Skin Base Visage* has been a favourite since my Uni days although I stopped using it for a while. I’m so happy to have re-discovered this product as I think it’s a great primer. The Skin Base Visage promises to brighten and smooth the skin. The consistency of the product is almost like foam but a little really goes a long way. You only need one or two pumps for the whole face. There is a slight sparkle in the product but nothing too much, just enough to brighten the face. The slight shimmer is what makes me really love this product as well as it’s smoothing factors which make it a great base for make-up.
To complete the dream team of making my make-up flawless and long lasting is everyone’s favourite; Mac Fix+ Spray*. I’m sure it comes as no surprise that I mentioning this as it’s a beauty blogger favourite. I actually owned this product for ages and never used it! Max Fix+ is a mist spray which can be used as a setting spray or a spray to hydrate the face. It’s a really good product to set your make-up and make sure everything stays in place. I also use MAC Fix+ on my eyeshadows. I quickly spray on my shadow brush before applying my shadows and the pigment is unbelievable. The whole shade and shimmer of a shadow intensifies when you use MAC Fix+. If you’ve never used Fix+ to do this, I definitely recommend giving it a go, the results will really impress you. I really like that there are a few uses for this spray, it definitely makes for a great investment when re-purchasing.
There’s my ultimate MAC Dream team for priming and setting my make-up. I’d love to hear below if you’ve used either of these products. What Primer and Setting Spray do you use?
