Festive Fashion Essentials with Studio.co.uk

I’ve been blogging nearly NINE years now and every December I think I’ve made it pretty clear how much I love dressing up at Christmas. I love putting on a party frock and the festive season is in full swing this year. Last week, I went to my first Christmas party of the season with Slingsby Gin at the Yurt Bar in Leeds and I’ve still got a few more excuses to dress up in my sparkly dresses. I’ve been looking for the perfect excuse to wear this TFNC Dress from Studio.co.uk and what better time than Christmas?

I’m so obsessed with this grecian styled dress and think it’s perfect for the festive party season. The embellishment on the shoulder makes it really stand out and gives it that Christmas sparkle. I wouldn’t normally wear white to be honest but there’s something about Christmas that I think white really works. Especially with a red lip and clutch. As we’re talking all about Dressing Up at Christmas, I thought I’d share my five festive fashion essentials.

FIVE Festive Fashion Essentials

A Sparkly Dress

Everyone needs a bit of sparkle in their Christmas Wardrobes. Whether it’s a little embellishment or a full blown sequinned number, you can’t go wrong at your Christmas Party with a bit of sparkle. There are so many gorgeous sparkly dresses on Studio.co.uk as they stock brands such as Quiz, TFNC, Little Mistress as well as their own in-house brands; Be You and Adore. Also, don’t forget about New Year’s Eve. Another occasion which I do love dressing up in a sparkly frock. This Little Mistress Sequin Dress is a serious contender for this NYE!

Red Lipstick

Whilst I am a loyal fan of the Nude lip, the red lipstick usually comes out around December. Ruby Woo by MAC is a staple item of mine and I’ve been wearing it a few times already! Finding the perfect red lip which suits you can really make a plain outfit pretty festive.

Christmas Jumper

A festive wardrobe would not be complete without a Christmas Jumper! I’m not going to lie, I’ve got quite the collection now. Every year, I feel like I need a new one. This year, I’ve opted for a cute one but I’m obsessed with all the ones with Dauchshund’s on them. I love the joke “Dauchshund Through Snow” and found this adorable one! Such a great Christmas pun!

Embellished Accessories

I don’t think there’s a thing as too much sparkle, right?! Make sure you have a few embellished accessories to make your outfit sparkle that little bit more. Whether it’s blingy jewels, an embellished clutch or sparkly heels – these accessories can make a simple LBD look ever so festive and perfect for that Christmas Party.

Cosy Pyjama’s

Whilst it’s nice to dress up for a festive party, there’s nothing better than slipping into your super cosy PJ’s and relaxing on the sofa. I don’t know about you but we have a tradition where we wear our new Christmas PJ’s on Christmas Eve ready for the big day. Of course, I usually have Disney PJ’s and I’ll be wearing these Minnie Mouse Season to Shine set. I’ve also got to mention how incredible the Mrs. Claus Dressing Gown is and how soft and cosy does it look?

A big thank you to Caroline for taking these photos and to Wrea Head Country Cottages for having us!

I’d love to hear whether you are a fan of dressing up? Do you love Sequins or do you subtly add sparkle to your look?

XOXO
