It’s November! That means the festive season is upon us! I thought I’d kick off the month with a little post all about Advent Calendars. Originally, I wanted to do a bumper post but it’s crazy how many have popped up on the high street. Everyone has got one! I’ve tried my best to limit it down to my top 12 beauty advent calendars. Whilst everyone and their mother have brought their own calendars out, I do have to say the more pricier ones I’ve found are more worthwhile with full size products. I actually haven’t got one this year and I’m swaying towards a Gin Advent Calendar (that’s for another post though!)
This Advent Calendar is probably one of my favourites available this year. If I was to buy any, it would be this one. The contents is worth over £300 and retailing at £79, I don’t think that’s too bad at all. I’m surprised this hasn’t sold out yet with products from top brands such as Molton Brown, GlamGlow, Rituals and Caudalie. At the moment, you can get a free Look Fantastic Beauty Box when you buy the Advent Calendar.
I spotted this Beauty Advent Calendar in-store last week and it was the Bum Bum Cream from Sol Janerio which caught my eye. I do love that cream. There’s some other really amazing products which I would personally love to try such as the Huda Beauty Liquid Lipsticks, Bobbi Brown Cream Shadows and the Rose Face Mask by Fresh. I’m not too sure what the ratio of the products being Travel or Full-Size are but some of them look pretty big. For £250, you would want a few full-size products in there!
This is another advent calendar filled with many great products I’d love to try and this would be the perfect opportunity. The John Lewis advent calendar even has a mini Bobbi Brown lipstick and a mini Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder! At the moment, it’s got 15% off so it’s on the website for £140.
The presentation of Charlotte Tilbury products always blows me away. The Charlotte’s Beauty Universe is no different, the box is so sparkly. The 2018 advent calendar features 12 little boxes filled with mini and full size products. The box in total is worth £196 so you’ve got a saving of around £50 when treating yourself to this advent calendar.
I believe that this is the first Advent Calendar NARS has created. You’ll probably know that NARS is one of my favourite brands which is why I’m rather excited about this one. The limited edition box is pretty spectacular with favourites such as the radiant creamy concealer, velvet matte lipsticks and a mini laguna bronzer. I do think that it’s a bit risky including concealers in which everyone is a different shade. This is definitely a must buy for any NARS fans out there though!
Another first Advent Calendar for another favourite brand of mine; MAC Cosmetics. This is has been a huge release for the Advent Calendar Season. Priced at £125, the box features a selection of some pretty great products such as Prep+Prime, Velvet Teddy and Ruby Woo Lipsticks. This one is quite hard to get your hands on but it’s also been sold on Look Fantastic too so keep an eye for it coming back in stock!
ASOS have a couple of Advent Calendars on their website this year. I actually had one a couple of years ago and it was pretty amazing. This year there is the Face & Body one (24 doors) and also a Grooming one (12 doors) for the men. They both feature brands sold on ASOS, mainly all travel sized but this is a good way to try new items.
The M&S Advent Calendar is always really hyped up. For £35, it’s the ultimate bargain for some quite high end brands such as NUXE, Stila, Phillip Kingsley and many more. The one catch is that you have to spend £35 on clothing, beauty or home to get the Advent Calendar for £35 but overall, it’s not a bad deal when the content are worth over £230!
The Estee Lauder Companies Advent Calendar is not bad at all. Featuring many different companies such as MAC, Glam Glow, Smashbox, Origins and Clinique – all under the Estee Lauder Company. The Advent Calendar is worth £283 and is retailing at £150 so it’s pretty damn good. I’ve found this one available on the Smashbox website – I can tell this one will be a sell out!
This is another Advent Calendar which I’m pretty excited about. Mainly because there’s Bum Bum cream in this too! I’m really impressed with the contents of it, especially as it’s worth £250! There’s also an offer at the moment that if you spend over £100 (another £25 on top of the calendar), you can get a free beauty bag worth over £130! Amazing deals!
Soap & Glory always know how to Christmas properly. Their gift sets are amazing and their Advent Calendar has a range of great products from the range. I believe that most items are miniatures bar the Thick & Fast Mascara. This years calendar includes a range of shower pods, eyeliners and lip glosses.
Another more affordable beauty calendar is the Sleek Make-up advent calendar. I’m a big fan of Sleek Make-up, I think they are a great high street brand and absolutely love their liquid lipsticks. For £35, there is a range of their Matte Me Lipsticks but personally a few too many lip liners and eye pencils. However, there are three eyeshadow palettes which isn’t bad at all!
I’m sure my list could really go on, there are so many out there on the market. Special mention to the Kiehls, Clarins (who also have a mens one), The Body Shop (which has THREE this year) and NYX. It’s great seeing all the department stores bringing out their own so we try a range of different brands but I am seeing a lot of product cross over. Charlotte Tilbury’s Wonder Cream, Pixi Glow Tonic and Fresh’s Rose Face Mask seem to be in them all! I’d love to hear which advent calendars you’d love this year.
