I’d say that a product really has to impress me to re-purchase it again and again, especially if it’s quite pricey or high-end. I thought I’d do a little blog post with my top six products I will forever be keeping in my makeup bag. You can see from the photo’s that some of these products I’ve already purchased multiple times and are very well loved.
First up is the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. Although I really rate the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer at only £4.19, I think this Nars one is just a touch better. I’ve re-purchased this concealer countless time, mainly because I seem to go through these like water which isn’t ideal when it’s £24 a pop! I’ve found that this is the best concealer I’ve found and really gives great under eye coverage and hiding any blemishes.
Another product from Nars and it’s the cult favourite Laguna Bronzer Powder. I’d say that I’ve tried quite a lot of different bronzer, mainly from the high street but this is the only shade that’s kind of suited me. It doesn’t make me look orange and it’s just right for my skin tone and can be built up if I have a tan. There’s also is a little bit of glitter to the product which gives my skin a glow.
Hands down my favourite highlighter is The Balm Mary-Loumanizer. I’m just onto my second one and it seemed to have lasted me forever despite using it on a daily basis to make me shine brighter than the stars. It’s just a great highlighter and not too expensive, I think it’s around £13.50. Champagne Pop by Becca is a close second as I use that for nights out and heavier make-up looks.
How many times have I written about the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream?! It really is my go-to skin care product which I apply before bedtime and also in the morning. It leaves my face hydrated and moisturised and I’m definitely a big fan of this product and will keep re-purchasing it!
I purchased the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder last year in America for $42 which I think it’s around £29 in the UK and it’s 100% worth it. I’ve tried a couple of powders but none of them has come any close to how good this one is. I’d love to hear if you’ve got any recommendations for high street powders though. This powder is just amazing at setting your make-up, especially under the eyes.
Finally, we’ve got the Hourglass Viel Mineral Primer. I actually bought this in America last year after using a tester I’d received from Sephora Rewards. I feel like this primer is some sort of magic potion that leaves your skin silky smooth and ready for make-up application. This primer is pretty pricey at £20 for 10ml, £55 for 30ml or £98 for 60ml but I honestly believe that it’s worth the price tag. It’s actually the only thing I’ve tried from Hourglass so far and I really want to test out some more items!
What high-end products do you swear by? Do you have some products which you would always re-purchase?
