Ibiza is pretty well known for the lively nightlife and insane super clubs but there is literally something for everyone on the island. When I visited Ibiza for the third time on a press trip last year, I discovered there was so much more to the island than just partying. I now can really see why people go back year after year to enjoy the sunshine on the white isle. Whether you are travelling with friends, family or children, there is so much to do and explore around the island from hidden beaches, yoga retreats, water sports and wandering around Ibiza Town.
First up is obviously the nightlife in Ibiza, it really is incomparable. Every night you are spoilt for choice with the world’s top DJ’s playing in the most outrageously amazing venues. For me, going to the Craig David Pool Party at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel is a must do and it’s during the day so you can party away in the sunshine. Ushuaia in Playa d’En Bossa is not only an amazing hotel but every night there’s top acts such as David Guetta, Mattin Garrix & Tinie Tempah performing. The shows are insane with huge productions but I’d say it’s worth the €50 entry!
Everyone was banging on about Ibiza’s famous sunset and I didn’t expect it to be just a massive spectacle every single night. Everyone gathered at Cafe Mambo to watch the sun set and the atmosphere was just so chilled and calm. We ended up buying drinks from a local supermarket and sitting on the beach to watch it so it doesn’t have to be an expensive do either.
Ibiza has so many incredible hotels, villas and apartments, you are spoilt for choice. Clickstay has some fabulous villas to stay in if you are travelling in a big group or with your family. I’ve been looking to book somewhere in Ibiza next Summer as I’m desperate to go back. Villas can be really cost effective if there are a few of you in a group. This luxe villa in Can Ramón de Jesús caught my eye and even has its own jacuzzi!
Here I go again… banging on about that one time I went parasailing and paddleboarding. They are just two options out of so many of activities that can be enjoyed around the island. I really do think that my adventurous side was brought out on this trip. I’m usually a major wimp but I embraced stepping out of my comfort zone.
On past trips, we’ve gone on boat rides, gone snorkelling and visited Ibiza Town which is worth a visit. The port city is really beautiful with lot’s of little back streets to explore with great restaurants and shopping. You’ll also find superclubs Pacha and Amnesia on the outskirts of the town.
There are so many different hidden beaches along the coast of the island. I’ve not really had a proper chance to explore them but I’ve spent a lot of time lusting after Emma’s Instagram photo’s which is filled with golden sands and crystal clear waters. She has also shared her top six beaches in Ibiza and I want to visit them all! This is definitely the perfect excuse to go back, am I right?
Have you been to Ibiza before? Why do you love Ibiza?
