I’ve just got back from my first trip to Italy where I visited Milan. I was so excited to be visiting the fourth and final leading fashion capital in the world and it certainly didn’t disappoint. We explored the designer stores of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, visited the Armani Museum and did a fair bit of people watching in their undeniably chic ensembles.
Prior to my trip, To Tuscany challenged me to capture the essence of Tuscan Style. Although I’ve not visited the region which is home to many fashion roots, I do know this is a hotspot for designer outlets and it’s very high up on my list. I mean, who wouldn’t want to visit Florence?! Not to mention, Gucci and Prada both have outlets in the region. Just think of all the designer bargains!
When I picture Italian fashion, I immediately think of the iconic prints as seen in fashion houses such as Versace, Pucci and Missoni. The incredible Dolce & Gabbana collections featuring gold embellishments and romantic floral prints also spring to mind. Just how iconic are those adverts?!
In my own Italian-inspired look, I decided to go for a classic floral print dress paired with some very glamorous Tom Ford sunglasses and my Zara embellished bag. Whilst I don’t have the vineyards of Tuscany as my backdrop, I suppose I have the next best thing; the Milan Duomo.
