It’s hard to believe that a stall selling scotch eggs would cause so much hype. I visited Borough Market last week with my Grandma and what I did notice was the amount of people all feasting on scotch eggs. I’d read about Scotchtails on the CitizenMag and seen as my Grandma had never been to (or even heard of it) Borough Market we decided to head on over there for a spot of lunch.
The special of the day at Scotchtails was Black Pudding but as I’m not a fan I opted for the traditional pork & herb with salad for £3.50. You can also get a meal deal with sweet potato fries which I regret not doing as they looked amazing! Despite a pretty large que, the service was so quick and I had my lunch within minutes. They were absolutely cooked to perfection with a golden crisp shell. Also, who knew that scotch eggs were so photogenic?
We did some more wandering around Borough Market and picked up some delicious juices. This was only my second visit to the market (more on my first visit here) and it’s becoming one of my favourite places in London. I can’t wait to return in the future and discover more culinary surprises. I’m going to be blogging all about my trip to London very shortly. I’m currently in Paris (Oh la la) so when I’m home I can get back into the swing of things.
Have you visited Borough Market? Do you like Scotch Eggs?
