The thing I get asked the most about is my hair. In case you haven’t noticed, I have rather long hair. Fortunately, It’s actually in really great condition – especially as I only get it trimmed every six months or so. A lot of people think I have hair extensions but nope, this head of hair is all mine. I’ve come close to having it cut short but I always seem to talk myself out of it. I wish I could tell you guys that I use some special magical elixir on my hair but I don’t. I actually don’t use that much on my hair but I don’t think I could live without these six haircare items.
The Tangle Teezer
Where would I be without the Tangle Teezer? I think I’ve been using them for about three years and it was a total game changer. As I have such long hair, the knots and tangles are just horrid but using the Tangle Teezer makes detangling time pain-free and super easy. I now have six in my collection including this super cute Lulu Guinness Compact Tangle Teezer which I keep in my handbag and my new Aqua Splash Tangle Teezer which I can use in the shower.
Batiste Dry Shampoo
Dry Shampoo is a girl’s best friend. I literally use this everyday just to add a little volume and also to help with any greasy roots. I’ve had a bit of a love/hate relationship with the Batiste Dry Shampoo as I started using other brands but now I’ve gone back to loving Batiste over everyone else. I wrote a round-up post about loads of different dry shampoos ages ago which you can read here.
Incredible Me 8-in-1 Sapphire Curling Iron
I usually curl my hair once a week as I don’t want to damage my hair too much with heat. I currently use the Incredible Me 8-in-1 Sapphire Curling Iron (read my full review here). It’s brilliant as there are eight different interchangeable wands so I can have a variety of hair styles. I tend to use either the smallest wand (13mm) to have lot’s of small curls or the 25mm wand for loose curls which is my everyday sort of style.
TRESemmé Heat Defence Spray
I alway use heat defence spray when styling my hair, It’s so important. The one I use is the TRESemme Heat Defence Spray, It smells good and is affordable. I guess you can’t really tell whether a heat protector is really working but I can’t really say anything bad about this spray so it’s a winner in my books!
L’Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Clay Range
I’ve been a massive fan of the L’Oreal Extraordinary Clay range since it’s release earlier this year. I haven’t tried out the dry shampoo yet but I use the Shampoo and Conditioner religiously. I’m also a fan of the Extraordinary Clay Hair Masque which really does revive my hair, I use this once a week. The formula of the range is supposed to with greasy roots and dry ends. I’ve seen quite a difference in my hair since using it – especially with the ends.
Neal & Wolf Flexible Styling Hairspray
I rarely use hairspray but when I do I always go for the Neal & Wolf Flexible Styling Hairspray. I’m very lucky that curls don’t drop out of my hair as much as you would think with it been so long and quite heavy. This spray helps keep the shape and volume especially if I’m on a night out. I really love Neal & Wolf as a brand and I actually did a little blog post on a few of their products here.
