I feel like I haven’t done a favourites or a beauty post in forever. Over the past couple of months, I’ve acquired some really exciting new products. I’ve got quite a few products to talk about so let’s get started!
My main purchase for the month of May was the Urban Decay; Alice Through the Looking Glass palette. When I spotted it in House of Fraser, I couldn’t leave it there and had to buy it! The palette is seriously pretty, not only is the packaging on point but the shades are so pretty. Each row of shades is inspired by a different character. Along with the palette, there are five lipsticks representing each character. My favourite shades from the palette so far are ‘Alice’, Duchess’, ‘Salazen Grum’ and ‘Dream On’.
I’ve had a little look online and as the palette is Limited Edition, I don’t think it’s available anymore. However, for my American readers it is still available from Sephora, Ulta & Nordstrom.
I’ve been trying out the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara in a little sample size. Unfortunately, my Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara has ran out so I’ve been trying out some new ones. The Perversion one has completely stood out for me and it makes my lashes look amazing. I’m also loving Benefit’s They’re Real which I’ve started using again.
Another product that has caused a stir in the beauty world is the L’oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation. I found that it provides a really good coverage and it is build-able. I was pretty skeptical about the whole cushion foundation trend but so far I’ve been impressed by this product. Although, I’m worried that it will dry up and run out quite quickly. I guess we will wait and see!
Another beauty trend I really wanted to try out was the sheet face masks. Timeless Truth sent me over a couple to try and I’ve been loving them. Sheet masks are definitely the way forward. Timeless Truth have a massive range of different masks, some of which are award-winning. I’ve tried the Apple Stem Cell Collagen Mask, the Rejuvenating Eye Mask and the Charcoal Brightening Mask. I found that all of them were really moisturising and so refreshing as I’d popped them in the fridge before use.
I featured the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick* in my Bobbi Brown Must Haves post but I’m seriously loving this one in Lilac Rose. It gives such a gorgeous glow to the cheeks. I feel like I’ve been in a blush rut for ages, just using the same three from MAC so it’s nice to use something new.
A random addition to my make-up bag is the Sephora Targeted Eye Makeup Cotton Swabs. I picked these up whilst in France and although they aren’t totally necessary they’ve been pretty helpful rectifying any under-eye mistakes. You basically snap one end of the swab and the makeup remover is released onto the cotton bit.
Finally, last but not least is a luxury item which is just gorgeous. The Guerlain Meteorite pearls in Clair 2 comes in a beautiful silver container which will look so pretty on my dressing table. More importantly though, we need to know more about the powder. I’ve been loving it so far as it gives a gentle sparkle to the skin. I’m going to be doing a full review very soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
What have you been loving recently?
XOXO

I LOVE so many of these products. I have the Bobbi Brown Simmer brick and love it – reminds me that I must try more of their products. I have another product similar to Guerlain balls and I agree it gives a lovely sheen to the skin which I’ve been loving recently – although I’d like to try these ones!

The colors in that palette… just wow! I’m curious to hear how you’re loving the cushion foundation after a while, I wanted to buy some sooo badly while I was in Japan because the formulas felt lovely but I just couldn’t find a color match.

The cotton swabs are a genius idea! I also have the Meteorites Pearls and I rarely reach for them, definitely need to make more effort to use them. x
