Sunday Lunch at Malmaison, Birmingham

Back in March for Mother’s Day, My family and I visited Malmaison which is located in The Mailbox. I’ve been a couple of times before and was really keen on taking my family. Malmaison offers a three-course menu for £20 (£30 on special occasions such as Mother’s Day). Although there is a raised price for special occasions, my Mum and Grandma both was treated to complimentary champagne and several gifts to take home!

For Starter, we were explained to go to the Chef’s Table which had different pastries, bread, cheeses, meats and soup of the day. We also ordered Waffles which were brought to the table. As a fussy eater I didn’t get a great deal but there was a brilliant selection.

I love how many different options there is for Main Course! Not only does the menu feature the traditional Roast Beef and Chicken dishes, there is Burgers, Fish and also breakfast/brunch options. I can’t resist a good Sunday Roast so I went for the Beef which was served with caramelized vegetables and a Yorkshire Pudding. The meal was absolutely delicious and so filling.

I couldn’t say no to desserts and there was a fantastic array of options from Sticky Toffee Pudding, Créme brúlée and I decided to go for the Mal hot chocolate. It’s not your average hot chocolate but if you are a chocolate lover like me, you’ll be in heaven. Vanilla ice cream, marshmallows and cream covered in melted chocolate. Incredible.

Malmaison is perfect for a special occasion or just treating yourself, It’s quite on the expensive side but as the starter is help yourself and the portions are huge, it’s really worth it. Booking is essential and I believe they book up quite quickly! You can find out more here.
